On their joint podcast "A Touch More (ATM)," Bird and Rapinoe opened this week's episode with the announcement, which was posted to social media
after airing.

"Hi everyone, there's really no smooth or easy way to start this episode
off," Rapinoe began. "We are coming here to share a little bit of personal news: We have decided to separate as a couple."
