Lefty billionaire Stephen Cloobeck dramatically cut ties with Eric
Swalwell and revealed he has kicked him out of his mansion — hours
before the congressman dropped his run for California governor.

“I am no longer supporting Eric,” Cloobeck told The Post in an exclusive interview. “F—ing tell everyone I’m a libertarian. F— you, Democrat Party. I’m a libertarian now.”

The ugly breakup between the timeshare mogul and Bay Area congressman —
who pulled out of the governor’s race late Sunday — marks yet another stunning point in Swalwell’s cratering political career.

Following public allegations Friday of rape, sexual assault and other
sexual misconduct made from several women who knew or worked for
Swalwell, the Bay Area congressman lost most of his endorsements, he’s potentially facing expulsion from Congress and become the subject of a
    criminal investigation.

Cloobeck spent more than $1 million supporting Swalwell’s candidacy, and
the embattled congressman filmed a denial video Friday from inside the billionaire’s palatial Beverly Hills mansion.

Cloobeck confirmed Swalwell was no longer staying with him and the billionaire’s alleged honeytrapper fiancée, who has been accused of burglarizing the homes of other rich, old men in Los Angeles.

“I have a lot of people who stay at my house,” Cloobeck said with a
laugh. “I built a gorgeous place, my dream home, I relish it, and I’m a very generous man. I’m very thoughtful and I’m very kind.”

He added that he would need to talk with his attorney to see if he can
claw back the $1 million he gave an independent committee supporting
    Swalwell.

Just weeks ago, Cloobeck called Swalwell his “little brother” in an interview with Politico, and he scoffed in a previous interview with The
Post when asked about rumors that Swalwell may have acted
inappropriately with female staff and interns.

Cloobeck, who said he has been a Democrat for “almost 40-year plus,” is
now unsure where the allegations will ultimately lead, but he said the controversy was enough to make him walk away.

“I don’t know where these facts are going to end up — you hear or read all this stuff,” he said.

When asked whether he believed Swalwell had been truthful with him,
    answer to that.”

Cloobeck, who gained more name recognition after briefly running for
governor last year and making multiple appearances on the TV show
“Undercover Boss,” has been extremely generous to Swalwell.

On top of letting the deeply-in-debt congressman frequently stay at his 9,700-square-foot mansion, Cloobeck gave the maximum $39,200 to
Swalwell’s campaign and gifted the congressman a $31,000 trip to France
    in 2024.

Cloobeck had harsh words for fellow billionaire Tom Steyer, saying the progressive hedge funder-turned-environmentalist and candidate for
governor — who has dropped nearly $100 million on the race — was “spending all this money on bulls—.”

“I’ve met most of the players, and I will continue to,” Cloobeck said.

Party affiliation, however, will clearly not be the attribute Cloobeck prioritizes most.

“I’m going to change my Godd— party affiliation, because I cannot stand this Democratic Party at all,” he said. “I am done. Finito.”

The reaction many Democrats and Republicans had to Rep. Eric Swalwell suspending his campaign for California governor on Sunday after a slew
    long?

Steve Hilton, a former Fox News host and leading Republican candidate in
the race, said his exit was inevitable and questioned why he entered the contest in the first place.

“It just shows you the disgusting arrogance of these career politicians
    — they have total contempt for the voters, assuming they can do whatever
they want and get away with it,” Hilton told The Post via email.

“Even worse is the sickening hypocrisy of the Democrat elite in California.”

Hilton alleged prominent Democrats and labor groups were aware of the situation, claiming endorsements and financial support continued despite
what he described as an “open secret on Capitol Hill and Sacramento.”

He specifically criticized Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Adam Schiff, teacher
unions and the SEIU, accusing them of “fake outrage and condemnation.”

“California is ruled by a corrupt Democrat cabal that is collapsing into chaos, sleaze and scandal,” Hilton said.

“The Swalwell Stink is on the entire corrupt Democrat machine in California.”

Rusty Hicks, chair of the California Democratic Party, issued a
statement to The Post saying that Swalwell had “finally done the right
thing by ending his campaign for Governor.”

“Swalwell’s reprehensible actions confirmed he is unqualified and unfit
to seek or hold public office in California,” Hicks said in a statement.
“I hope that Swalwell is held accountable for his actions and the
courageous victims and survivors who have come forward receive the
    justice they deserve.”

Swalwell’s name cannot be removed from the June 2 primary election
ballot, so Hicks said he is calling on Democrats to avoid voting for the congressman because “he is unfit for public office and receives as
little support as possible at the ballot box.”

Assemblymember James Gallagher, a Republican from Yuba City who’s
running to succeed the late Rep. Doug LaMalfa in the House, said he was “curious” what Swalwell intends to do after suspending his campaign.

“I hope it means he’s quitting the campaign, but next he needs to resign from Congress,” Gallagher said. He added, “And if he doesn’t resign, I believe he’ll be kicked out along with Rep. [Tony] Gonzalez.”

Gonzalez, a Republican from Texas, is being investigated by the House
Ethics Committee over sexual misconduct allegations, according to Axios.

Gallagher said Swalwell’s supporters could fan out behind the crowded
field of Democrats still in the race.

“We could be looking at the top two being Republicans,” he said.

Eccentric billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, who has spent more than $1
million supporting Swalwell’s campaign, was so sickened by Swalwell’s actions that he told The Post on Sunday he is quitting the Democratic
    Party.

“F—ing tell everyone I’m a libertarian,” Cloobeck said in an exclusive interview. “F— you, Democrat Party. I’m a libertarian now.”

Larry Gerston, professor emeritus of political science at San José State University, told The Post that Swalwell’s decision to suspend his
    campaign “isn’t a surprise.”

“The fact that at least four women have accused him of inappropriate
activity — and that his office in DC has supported those people and so
many people on his campaign have dropped out — it really leaves Swalwell
    no other choice.”

He added, “The only question now is when he will literally drop out.”

Gerston predicted that progressive billionaire Tom Steyer and former Congresswoman Katie Porter would likely pick up the most votes if
Swalwell follows through in ending his campaign.

“Why? Because I think their politics are closer — they overlap with Swalwell’s more than any of the other candidates,” Gerston said.

“There’s also Xavier Becerra and Betty Yee, but they’re so far down the ladder [in the polls].”

Jason McDaniel, a political science professor at San Francisco State University, said Swalwell’s suspension shows that Democrats took the allegations seriously.

“The practically unanimous calls by Democratic Party leaders for
Swalwell to drop out show that they found the reported accusations to be
very credible, and that the alleged behavior is unacceptable to
Democratic Party officials and voters,” he said.

“This is a sign of party strength and is a stark contrast to the way
that the Republican Party has often responded to similar accusations.”

If you were to celebrate the Tucson Pride Festival this past February,
you were out of luck. Organizers of Tucson Pride had to dissolve their organization and cancel the annual festival, which for some reason
wasn’t held during national Pride Month, which is in June.

On a Facebook post, the organizers told their followers that, “This
decision was not made lightly…We recognize the deep importance Tucson
Pride has held in our community since 1977, serving as a space of
visibility, advocacy, celebration, and resilience for nearly five
    decades.”

The group blamed poor financials, mismanagement, and lower attendance as
the reasons for the demise of both the organization and the annual
    event.

Maybe if you really have a hankering for some Pride, you should go to
Orlando in June. That’s when Mickey Mouse’s hometown always has its
annual GayDays event. Thousands from all over like to go to this event
because of the theme parks and the attractions, we’re told.

Oh, wait! Darn! That one is canceled, too. Organizers of that event have reportedly said the current political climate made it difficult to pull
this one off due to several factors, including the loss of sponsors and
    changes to its facility arrangements.

    Cracks.

No worries. Americans are big on Pride. Let’s see where we can go for
    some Pride “festivication.”

How about Tampa? Nope. That one had to suspend its plans for its Pride Festival, Diversity Parade, at least for this year. Organizers of that
event said their decision was due to “the current political climate,”
    among other factors. Dang!

Hey, I’ve looked around, and Pride Month organizers seem to be in a
world of hurt. Arlington, Texas, suspended its Pride celebration for
this year after the city council refused to reinstate what organizers
    described as “LGBTQIA+ anti-discrimination protections.”

Even where Pride Month events are planned, organizers nationwide are
reporting some major declines in sponsorship support and increased
difficulty in getting local governments to accommodate all of their
    demands.

New York City’s Pride event organizers have said they’ve seen a decline
of $750,000 in sponsorship money. This represents a drop of roughly 20%.
In San Francisco, of all places, its Pride organizations said they’ve
Nissan, representing a loss of $200,000-$300,000.

    What happened?
To get a sense of how drastic and sudden the economic and operating
climate has been for Pride Month, you have to look at the singular
turning point that changed everything – Donald Trump’s defeat of Kamala Harris for the presidency in 2024. That’s right. You voted for this.

Nothing illustrates this more than a recent survey of major
corporations, which found that 39% of Fortune-1000 companies said they
planned to reduce their support for Pride Month activities. Compare this
to 9% in 2024 when Joe Biden was president. Practically overnight, 30%
more companies decided to halt sponsorship of Pride month activities.

When organizers of Pride events blamed “the current political climate,” they were at least in part blaming the Trump administration’s
curtailment of federal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs
and related support to local communities, companies, and organizations.

Once local DEI programs lost federal support, many companies reduced or eliminated their DEI budgets. Much of that Pride Month sponsorship money
came out of those budgets. Companies, nonprofits, and local and state governments that relied on certain federal monies also got a little
skittish about continuing their unabashed support of Pride organizations
    and activities.

On the flip side, once Trump came back into office, these same
governments and organizations were no longer as pressured to continue
DEI spending that wasn’t critical to their missions.

What much of this reveals is something conservatives already know, but
the legacy media, the Democrats, and the entire left didn’t want to
It was and is a contrived movement to normalize homosexuality and
certain perverse lifestyles to make it appear that acceptance is
    widespread.

If the public wanted all of this, it would have it. There would be a marketplace and citizenry demand for it, but there's none.

To be sure, there is an even darker side to this. In recent years, Pride
events have gone from being a celebration of Sodom and Gomorrah by
adults for adults to an exploding number of events organized by deviant
adults for children. Witness the rise in drag queen storybook hours and
all of the Pride month events that specifically target innocent
    children.

Most normal Americans never asked for that, never liked it, and wanted
it to go away. Thanks to the Trump administration, much of that has
happened. And so, you may notice that this June across America, you will
see far fewer rainbow flags flying, fewer men in leather and dog collars "marching" in public, and perhaps best of all, fewer drag queen events
aimed at messing with the minds of young children. Had Harris and Tim
Walz won in 2024, and if the Democrats win the midterms this year, the
scene below would be the "new norm."

So far, this is real cultural progress for conservatives. Don't
underestimate what’s been accomplished here. Don't underestimate the
fact that if Democrats regain power, they will bring all of this
deviancy back. This is one issue that may have gotten lost as we look
ahead to the 2026 midterms, but it's as real as ever. We haven't won on
it yet, but conservatives are winning, and Republicans can't let voters
    forget.
