Ireland's 10-Meter Repeater EI0IPG Returns to Air
The Irish amateur radio community is celebrating the return of EI0IPG,
the nation's sole 10 metre repeater. Located in Carndonagh, Co.
Donegal, the repeater is back in service following a period of outage
due to storm damage. Its return is particularly timely as solar
activity rises, offering enhanced trans-Atlantic and continental FM
communication. Visit irts.ie/repeaters for access details. Maintained
by the Carndonagh Amateur Radio Club, the repeater serves as a vital
gateway for the 10m band. Repeater keeper Steve EI2GYB noted that the
facility ensures Irish operators remain at the forefront of
experimental long-distance communication.
